Business Department

The mission of the Business Department is to support the district's financial health and ensure fiscal solvency, school facilities that are clean, safe and in good repair as well as providing other operational services to support the instruction program for the Westmorland students.

Fiscal oversight of the Westmorland Union Elementary School District as well as the business operations of the district are key roles of the Business Department. The department handles the Payroll for all the employees of the District; Accounts Payable; Accounts Receivable; Workers Compensation; Human Resources; Teacher Credentials; Budget planning and developing; Attendance Accounting; Student Body accounting and legal compliance with State and Federal fiscal reporting as well as the operations of the district including Facility Maintenance and Operations, Student Transportation, Nutrition Services, Technology and Purchasing.

Throughout the year the Business Department provides the Board of Trustees with financial reports in order to satisfy Federal, State and local reporting requirements as well as to provide transparency to the stakeholders in regards to the District's financial data.

      July1 - Initial Budget Adoption
      September 15 - Unaudited Actuals(prior year)/FirstBudget Revision of Current year
      December 15 - First Interim Report
      March 15 - Second Interim Report
