Please note that the Board of Trustees has rescheduled the April Board Meeting from April 8 to April 15, 2026. This change was made to accommodate the spring break schedule.

Jay Roxxx, the Cat in the Hat and guest readers came to visit our students and made the day extra special. Our guest readers shared an inspiring message about the importance of reading and reminded students that reading is the key to making any dream come true.

Today our school briefly entered a lockdown due to a student-related incident on campus. Staff immediately followed established safety procedures to ensure the safety of all students and staff.
Law enforcement responded and assisted in addressing the situation. There were no weapons involved. The matter was resolved quickly, and the lockdown was lifted once it was determined that the campus was safe.
At this time, there are no ongoing safety concerns, and normal school activities have resumed.
The safety and well-being of our students and staff remains our highest priority. Thank you for your continued support and partnership.

Westmorland Union Elementary School District will hold its first Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee Meeting on Friday, March 6, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.
This committee helps ensure that bond funds approved by voters are used responsibly and only for school facility improvements that benefit our students.

What an exciting Tuesday we had! Senator Steve Padilla's office visited our campus and left totally impressed by our students and staff. They couldn't stop talking about the positive energy and engagement they witnessed in our classrooms and hallways.
These kinds of visits are so special because they create real connections between our community and the leaders representing us in Sacramento. It's not every day that state officials get to see firsthand the amazing things happening right here in our district. We're grateful they took the time to experience the incredible work our students and staff are doing every single day.
