It’s a great day to be a Roadrunner!
BUHS Wildcats spent the morning getting the school garden ready — planting, tilling, and giving back to the community!
Big thanks to our amazing partners — Westmorland Food Pantry, Richard & Cari Augusta, Imperial County Public Health, Elise Mosquera, and local farmer and science teacher, Vince Zazueta — for bringing their team of hardworking BUHS Wildcats including three former Roadrunners.
We’re also grateful to Trustee Velasco and Trustee Lopez for spending their Saturday helping out. 💚
So proud of our local students for earning their community service hours and making a difference!

The Westmorland Union Elementary School District is committed to maintaining a safe and healthy school environment. As part of this effort, we are piloting vape sensors in some of our school bathrooms. These sensors detect airborne particles associated with vaping (e.g., nicotine or THC vapor) and alert staff to ensure prompt action. The sensors do not record audio, video, or personal data.
Please note that vaping on school grounds may result in disciplinary action. We encourage you to discuss the dangers of vaping with your child, including health risks like lung damage and addiction.
For questions or concerns, please contact Rauna Fox or Ariel Cecena. Thank you for supporting a safe learning environment.
